Value Jackson recipient Josh Wilson (L) with last month's awardee Jerad Weston (R). (TOJ)
JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING – Keeping the town and county’s vehicles in top running condition is no easy task. Journey Mechanic Josh Wilson of the Town of Jackson’s Public Works Department has been keeping the fleet running smooth since 2006.
Josh was recently nominated by Corporal Jerad Weston to receive this month’s Value Jackson Award.
According to Jerad, Josh lives up to the town values through his openness, respect, professionalism and the positive workplace that he creates. He is also a firm believer that no matter what comes up the motto ‘It Is My Job. It Is Our Job’ always applies. Wilson likes to be behind the scene, but is always there when you need him.
“Josh always greets everyone who comes into the mechanic bay with a smile and asks, ‘Are you all good?’ Weston said. “He is quick with a smile and stops what he is doing to help in any way that he can. Regardless of what type of vehicle comes into the shop—START bus, snowplow, police cruiser, or fleet car—he’s always eager to help to people back on the road.”
Thank you, Josh, for your commitment to the citizens, visitors, and employees of the Town of Jackson. If you see Josh around, give him a high five and tell him “Congrats!”
