JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Parks and Rec today that grooming for most of the trails and pathways in the valley will cease due to warm temperatures and lack of snow.
The following area are expected to be affected:
Additional snowfall of six inches or more, along with colder temperatures will be required in order to start grooming in these valley locations.
The levee at Emily Stevens is in marginal condition and will be a day-to-day decision moving forward. Cache Creek and Game Creek continue to be accessible. Parks and Rec will continue our grooming efforts in those areas until weather conditions prohibit them from doing so.
Latest update (February 7)
Tomorrow the only trail that will be groomed is the levee because of lack of snow at the other trails.
11:55am: Game Creek was groomed with the Pistenbully and in great shape.
6:00am: Cache Creek was groomed with the Pistenbully this morning and it is still in good shape. The classic track is shallow in spots but generally OK.
