Free Wi-Fi hotspot added at fairgrounds

JACKSON, Wyo. — Silver Star has set up a free Wi-Fi Hotspot at the Fairgrounds to enable those without internet at home, or a weak signal, to access the internet.

The locations are not permanent but have been turned on during this time of need. Each connection will be speed limited to 10×10 Mbps to allow for multiple users while maintaining six feet of distance. The connection is not strong enough to stream videos but will work for things like checking email, text, and other non-streaming phone usages.

Silver Star reminds users that the signal may be lessened if your line of sight to the access point is blocked by things such as trees or buildings and that your ability to access the signal is only as good as your device’s antenna will allow.

A complete list of all Silver Star public Wi-Fi hotspots, with maps, can be found here.
