SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Sublette County EMS, and Sublette County Unified Fire responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Highway 191 near the airport.
Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 911 call regarding on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at approximately 9:30pm. The caller informed dispatch that a single occupant in a crashed vehicle did not appear to be breathing.
A Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and found the occupant in the vehicle. The juvenile driver was deceased on scene as a result of injuries from the accident.
Investigation on-scene revealed the vehicle left the highway, travelled through a fence and struck a large tree. Wyoming Highway Patrol has taken over the investigation, and it is considered ongoing.
The name of driver was not released per department protocol concerning juveniles.
