Showing in Wilson for one night only, The Birding Body is a 45-minute murder mystery comedy with a cast and crew of only two! Co-stars Oliver Bestul and Veronica Swanson, who wrote and illustrated the newly-published play, are taking their show on the road for a 50-state tour. Wyoming marks their sixth stop in the year-long road trip, and the Old Wilson Schoolhouse in Wilson (5655 Main St) will be the only place in the state to see the show.

While The Birding Body has been compared to the TV program Columbo and other similar series, what sets this show apart is a reanimated victim! By the power of the detective’s imagination, the deceased comes to life and assists him with his investigation. Upon entering the performance space, audience members will also receive their own mini case file of illustrated clues, to help them draw their own conclusions as the story progresses.

After the show is over, those in attendance will have an opportunity to purchase signed copies of the script, custom patches, and the first edition of a magazine that will track the artists’ progress through the country.

Admission is free, and the play begins at 7:00PM.
