From an unbelievable opportunity to dance with “Happy Feet” tapper Savion Glover to après-ski music under the tram, this week’s #WonderWednesday events will get you moving!
Start on Wednesday by taking an evening class with Savion Glover, who will be joined by fellow hoofer Marshall Davis, Jr., to teach tap at Dancers’ Workshop for two nights.
Take a lunch break on Thursday for a reading and talk with author Kali Fajardo-Anstine at the library. Fajardo-Anstine will share and talk about her short stories while listeners enjoy soup and bread. Or take off early for the first of this week’s après-ski concerts with Yak Attack under the Tram, part of JHMR’s College Rendezvous.
On Friday, don’t miss WhoDunnit? the anonymous art show and sale where you can bid on more than 200 original pieces while helping to raise money for Art Association education programs. Later in the evening, local musicians will band together to honor hip hop legends with Gin & Juice at The Mangy Moose.
On Saturday, Off Square Theatre presents a workshop and second performance of Chekhov Unchecked followed by an audience talkbalk in the Black Box. And on Sunday, New Orlean’s Anders Osborne plays an acoustic show at Center for the Arts.
