JACKSON, Wyo. — It may feel like Jackson, and the whole world, are shutting down right now amid fears of spreading the novel coronavirus.
Indeed, many businesses and institutions are closing and suspending operations to mitigate the spread of the virus. Teton County School District schools are closed a week early. All three local ski resorts ended their seasons yesterday. Many local businesses are shutting their doors for at least a couple of weeks. (Teton County is compiling a working list of closed businesses and canceled events here.)
Still, some businesses are getting creative in how they offer services to the community while encouraging social isolation. Because we still need to eat, we probably still want to work out, and we should still look for joy wherever we can find it.
This is a working list of businesses and activities that will continue to serve the public in the coming days, weeks, or months.

The Mindstrength Project
Ryan Burke, licensed professional counselor and Jackson Hole local, has created an online mental fitness and physical wellness program that helps people reduce stress and build healthier habits. During the covid-19 pandemic, this free program can help people implement structure and a sense of control into their daily routines.
The program works by having participants self-reflect, set goals, and track their habits. Through neuroscience education and interactive exercises, each participant gets a chance to understand themselves and their brains on a deeper level.
In this time of social isolation, the Mindstrength 30 Challenge is a great way refocus people’s anxious energy in a positive direction.
Check out the program at www.mindstrengthproject.com and please consider writing a short piece about the challenge so the Jackson Hole community can be aware of this resource.
