JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Does it feel like things have slowed down a bit here? The college workforce has mostly returned to school and there seems to be a little more room on the roads. You can actually eat at a restaurant without reservations three weeks in advance.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Economic Dashboard would suggest we’ve had one heckuva summer so far. Most July indicators were trending up including real estate sales, sales/lodging tax collection, and visitation in general.

One of the only numbers that was down was unemployment. Jackson’s unemployment rate for the month of July was 2.5% compared to a statewide average of 2.9% and comparable mountain resort towns about the same or slightly higher.
