JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Chabad Jewish Center of Wyoming announced it will host a vigil and a moment of prayer for those impacted by the attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA that killed 11 people.

Ço-directors of the Center, Rabbi Zalman and Raizy Mendelsohn, stated in a release, “The peace and serenity of our Shabbat was torn to bits with the horrific news of the attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Together with our brothers and sisters in Jewish communities around the world, we mourn the tragic loss of life and offer our heartfelt prayers for the victims, their families, and all affected by this hatred and evil.”

Many of us ask ourselves at a time of tragedy such as this: “What can we do about it?” Come together.

The gathering will be Monday, October 29, at 6:30pm at the Chabad Jewish Center, 265 E Broadway, Jackson. The vigil will be brief and include a moment of Torah wisdom, Prayer and Charity, as leaders pray for peace, harmony and love to once again reign supreme upon our earth. The vigil is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

“We at the Chabad Jewish Center remain available and on-call 24 hours a day should anyone require a listening ear or support during these trying times,” CJC leaders assure. “With our hope and blessing of ‘Oseh Shalom Bimromov, Hu Yaaseh Shalom Aleinu V’Al Kol Yisrael V’Imru Amen.’ May He who makes peace in His high places. May He bring peace upon us and upon all Israel and let us say, Amen.
