CenturyLink dealing with widespread internet outages

JACKSON, Wyo. – Widespread internet outages this morning are being reported throughout the valley. They are part of a known issue affecting CenturyLink customers throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

According to CenturyLink DownDetector, spotty outages have affected most of Wyoming, Colorado and Utah, especially major metropolitan areas including Denver, Cheyenne, Salt Lake, Casper, and Rock Springs.

Teton County School District said it is aware of the outages and teachers may not be able to provide live sessions today.

“Please do not be concerned if you are not able to engage in the live, online sessions,” TCSD posted on Facebook.

A CenturyLink spokesperson said the fix is perhaps 12-24 hours out. The problems began early this morning around 4:30 a.m.
