‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ winter will make curtain call tonight, tomorrow

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Well, we probably should have expected as much from our friends at the Village. With Jackson Hole Mountain Resort set to begin summer lift service to the top—in fact, just because the resort had scheduled its summer opening—the forecast this week includes one (last?) return of winter.

MountainWeather’s meteorologist Jim Woodmencey is calling for a possible 8 inches of new snow to upper elevations for the 24-hour period beginning tonight through Wednesday night. The National Weather Service has gone with a full-blown Winter Storm Watch with the chance of “significant snowfall” up to a foot or more above 7,500 feet persisting into late Wednesday.

The tram at JHMR will roll beginning this Saturday…weather permitting?
