JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Jackson Broncs took care of business last night with a 34-13 win over the Powell Panthers.
It was the final game of the regular season for the Broncs who did not look past their opponents with dreams of the post season. Coach David Joyce had the team focused on the task at hand and Jackson cruised to the 3-touchdown victory.
The Broncs are now 7-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play. They will host a quarterfinal playoff game against Lander Valley next Friday, October 26 at 5pm.
The Tigers (4-4, 3-2) are coming off a 23-9 win over Worland yesterday. Similar opponents include Green River, Powell, Evanston, and Worland. Jackson beat all those teams. Lander was 2-2, losing to Green River and Evanston.
The Broncs offense has been clicking this season. Jackson has averaged 31.2 points per game to Lander Valley’s 23.6. The Tigers have surrendered 27 points a game. The Broncs defense gives up an average of 18.4 points so far this season.
