Agent of the week: Melissa Morton

JACKSON, Wyo.— When The McPeak Group isn’t showing properties, they’re giving back to the community, participating in outdoor pursuits and enjoying everything Jackson has to offer.

During this unprecedented time, learn more about The McPeak Group and how they are working to support the Jackson community. This week, get to know Sales Associate, Melissa Morton:

Q: What brought you to Jackson Hole? Give us the quick version.
A: Skiing the Gnar… No seriously, two of my four siblings moved here; I followed them.

Q: Favorite hike in the summer and ski run in the winter?
A: Lake Taminah is a must-see in Grand Teton National Park! The 4 p.m. gondola ski runs are a “can’t miss” in the winter.

Q: What is your favorite hidden gem in Jackson Hole?
A: My husband’s fly-fishing “Schoolhouse on the Snake River” — shameless plug for Jackson Hole Fly Fishing School. My second favorite — epic rec-league broomball matches in the winter at the Teton County Fairgrounds — Peter Pan syndrome at its best!

Q: What’s your favorite way to give back to the community?
A: The Spring Clean Up Day is a favorite. Nothing feels better than cleaning up our beautiful town and county. It always happens to be snowing or sleeting, so braving the elements is a must and a great way to spend a few hours giving back to our community.

Q: What is your fondest memory in the Tetons?
A: Having our baby boy this past fall in the most amazing hospital. The Birthing Center at St. John’s is unbelievable and the quality staff of nurses and administration is unparalleled. I have to give a shout-out to Beverly — the best OB nurse in the world!

Q: What you’re looking forward to most when the Covid-19 quarantine lifts?
A: Getting a babysitter, hugging everyone I know and enjoying music at JacksonHoleLive!
