Police Log: Recent Calls for Service
JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.
Person was contacted in prone and sitting position on sidewalk and showed indications of being very intoxicated, then contacted about to drive vehicle, then contacted in street in confrontation with someone trying to help him. Subject arrested for Public Intoxication.
Victim of Domestic Violence was contacted by arrestee’s father who implied he would harm her and/or kids if she testified against her husband.
Subject was unable to name the person who she suspected had her wallet and was not certain where it had last been. Subject just wanted information about any found property and how to obtain a new ID.
Code Enforcement: Short-term rental investigation.
Collision between bus turning left and vehicle. No road blockage.
Driver was following too close, distracted by GPS, collided with vehicle ahead. Damage over $1,000.
Reported theft at a jewelry store, Suspect found outside, Suspect cited for Theft <$1,000
Reported Subjects using false ID to enter bar. One subject left the area before officer arrival. One subject arrested for Minor Under the Influence and Using Fake ID.
Juvenile female in physical altercation with another juvenile female. Taken into protective custody at Adams Canyon.
A man was found at the airport after hours, the man was asked to leave but would not. The man was intoxicated and had an open container. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and Open Container.
Unsecured bicycle stolen from apartment building. Value less than $1000.00
Individual reported a strong arm robbery. Report closed as Unfounded.
Male subject walking on public sidewalk intoxicated. Subject taken into custody. PBT result .201%.
Third party report of domestic violence. Unknown if it occurred in Jackson, WY. or Lincoln County, WY. Unknown where subjects live. Reporting person is requesting a welfare check be done at subjects work. Subject works overnight at a local hotel. Will pass on to night officers to follow up on. Information report.
A woman reported her 11-year-old son’s bicycle missing. She said it was an older mountain bike that was not worth very much but she wanted to report it for principal and for the possibility that it might be found.
Unattended death of a 63 year old female with multiple health conditions.
Bike taken from the front of residence in the last 2-3 days. Yellow Trek men’s mountain bike.
Man and woman report a man prowling outside their bedroom window. Possible peeping tom.
Found wallet turned into the police department. The owner reported the wallet lost the day she noticed it was gone on 08/03/2017. The owner of the wallet had a false ID inside the wallet. The false ID was taken for destruction. The owner of the wallet had money taken sometime during the week it was missing. The wallet was returned to the owner.
Male pedestrian contacted for being the possible driver for exhibition of speed. Pedestrian was cleared but had an active warrant for probation violation. Male was arrested without any further incident.
