Paragliding accident kills Jacksonite in Utah
JACKSON HOLE, WYO – A native son of Jackson Hole has died in Utah. Sawyer Gordon, 22, succumbed Sunday to injuries sustained while paragliding near the popular Living Room Trail east of Salt Lake City.
Hikers witnessed Gordon crash on June 7. They carried the unconscious victim down to where a helicopter could safely transport him to University Hospital. Gordon suffered from multiple traumatic injuries and was removed from life support by his family on Sunday.
Gordon was a 2013 graduate of the Community School. He was studying electrical engineering and computer science at University of Utah while working for PacifiCorp.
