Hunting horses go missing, presumed stolen
JACKSON HOLE, WYO – UPDATE: 9:12pm, Sept. 12): Horses have been located. Thanks to all who helped spread the word.
Hunters are missing their mounts today after they tied two horses to trees, only to find them gone when they returned.
The owners believe the horses were taken. Both lead ropes were unsnapped from the halters and left tied around the trees. Both horses were saddled.
The incident occurred yesterday in Area 93 near the Beaver Creek trailhead in the Hoback in Sublette County. Police reports have been filed.
Both horses are of sorrel color. One is a paint and has more white on his face. The other just has a white strip going down his face. They both have white socks. Both are geldings and both have a large build.
