DIAVOLO Architecture in Motion® flies into Jackson Hole
Dancers’ Workshop brings the America’s Got Talent finalists DIAVOLO | Architecture in Motion® to Jackson Hole this weekend (August 18 & 19) at the Center for the Arts. The amazingly talented group made it past Judges Cut on the hit competition series, and are looking to impress audiences across the U.S. during their 25th Anniversary tour.
If you’re wondering who DIAVOLO is exactly? Well, let us enlighten you.
These jaw-dropping shows are the perfect way to spend your weekend. Bring the whole family, a hot date, or just yourself to enjoy the unique experience offered by DIAVOLO. If you bring small children, Dancers’ Workshop encourages you to bring ear protection, as the powerful music can get loud at times.
Grab a sneak peek into the performances they offer this weekend.
Trajectoire is a visceral and emotional journey through the ebb and flow of the human experience. As the performers struggle to find their balance on a voyage of destiny and destination, this work shows the transcendence of the human soul against all odds.
Passengers, DIAVOLO’s newest piece created in 2016 to be part of a two-part piece entitled L.O.S.T. (Losing One’s Self Temporarily), explores human experience, as we teeter between vulnerability and control, losing and reshaping ourselves as we traverse through our daily lives and work.
On and around a giant morphing staircase with multiple doors, passageways, and shifting surfaces, the dancers reckon with themes of journey and transition and the tenuous balance we attempt to strike each day as both indomitable drivers and unwitting passengers.
